Membership of the Safe Durham Partnership Board reflects statutory requirements set out in the Crime and Disorder Regulations 2007 (Statutory Instrument 1830). It also reflects the important role of co-operating and participating persons and bodies. Membership is as follows:
Core Membership
Durham County Council: Corporate Director of Adults, Wellbeing and Health.
Durham County Council: Elected Member (Portfolio Holder) for Safer Communities.
Durham Constabulary: Assistant Chief Constable.
Police Authority: Chair.
Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue: Director of Community Safety.
NHS County Durham: Locality Director of Public Health.
National Probation Service: Chief Probation Officer.
Extended Membership
County Durham & Darlington Acute Hospitals Foundation Trust: Chief Executive.
County Durham Youth Offending Service: Head of Service.
Children’s Trust: Represented by Corporate Director for Children and Young People’s Service, Durham County Council.
Chair of the Performance and Planning Group: Head of Social Inclusion, Durham County Council.
Chairs of Thematic Groups: Anti-social Behaviour, Vulnerability, Reducing Re-Offending, Alcohol Misuse, Substance Misuse, Counter-Terrorism, Serious Crime, Casualty Reduction
