County Durham Economic Partnership
In 2004 a Steering Group was set up by the County Durham Economic Partnership to look at the way ahead for tourism in County Durham. The County Durham Tourism Strategy has been drafted in the context of the North East Tourism Strategy. In particular this strategy informed the basis of activity undertaken by the County Durham Tourism Partnership (CDTP). CDTP is the recognised lead development partner for tourism within the Economic Partnership. If you have any further questions, please

County Durham Tourism Partnership
County Durham Tourism Partnership is an independent company limited by guarantee. Its Chair and Board have been appointed on Nolan principles. This means the positions were widely advertised and that all appointments were made on merit by an independent panel. It also means that Board members act in terms of public interest rather than as representatives of any particular organisation.
The Chair of County Durham Tourism Partnership is Chris Davy. Owner of one of the most famous and successful hotels in North East England, Chris is well known across the region and is a strong advocate for tourism. His passion for the region resulted in him being used recently as one of the faces of the Passionate People / Passionate Places campaign by One NorthEast.
